Over the past 10 years, Russian business leaders have purchased more than 150 superyachts from 30 meters long, which are based on the Cote d'Azur of France (the cities of Nice, Antibes, Cannes, St. Tropez), the Principality of Monaco, Spain (the cities of Barcelona, Las Palmas, Palma de Mallorca). Also, super-yachts are based in Russia: Sochi, Novorossiysk, St. Petersburg.
Out of 101 giga yachts in the world, 18 yachts are owned by Russian businessmen, 16 yachts are owned by businessmen from the United States, and Saudi Arabia is in third place with 10 giga yachts, according to Boats international publication.
According to Forbes, giga yachts owned by two Russians have already entered the top ten largest in the world. This is the Eclipse of businessman Roman Abramovich and Ocean Victory, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC "Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works" Viktor Rashnikov. On such yachts, the crew is up to 80 people, of which only about 30 stewards.
