2 October 2018

The Maritime Police have boarded several yachts recently and issued Masters with a summons to appear at the French Maritime Affairs office in Nice . They are applying two new local laws:

  1. Anchoring in the fish haven

  2. Anchoring in waters less than 30 metres deep

On the Monaco and Roquebrune border (RED shaded area) a 30 metres depth limit and on the Roquebrune and Menton border (GREEN shaded area) it’s a 20 metres depth limit.

These depth related anchoring laws came out the same time as the speed restriction around Cap d’Antibes.
