MCA Fees 2017

Fee increases were made after a consultation with the marine industry.  This was carried out in 2016 allowing customers and the industry to be involved every step of the way. The recent increases will "enable the MCA to invest in a more customer-focused service".

For example, the Seafarer Medical Examination Fee will increase in three stages from £80 to £115. The increases will be from £80 to £95 (November 2018), £95 to £105 (November 2019) and £105 to £115 (November 2020).

Details of all the new fees for all Seafarer Certification are detailed in the Annex attached - click here.

MCA application forms have been revised to show increases in fees.
