Sea Service team member:

The Professional Yachting Association (PYA) is recruiting a new member for its small dynamic Sea Service team based in Antibes.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Assessing the validity of sea service testimonials and advising members on MCA definitions of sea time.
  • Advising members on the application process for the issuance and revalidation of deck and engineering licenses which includes giving information on training, certification, the procedures for booking exams, endorsement applications, and registering their experience at sea.
  • Representing, liaising, and communicating with regulatory and industry organizations, training providers and other agencies on matters related to seafarers' education, training, and certification.
  • Supporting and developing PYA services.


  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
  • Familiarization, investigation and keeping up to date with the UK, Maltese and other Administration regulations applying to yacht crew regarding the issuance and revalidation of their licenses, procedures for applying for exams, certification, endorsement and registering their experience at sea.
  • Familiarisation with maritime education and training centres operated under the international STCW Convention as applied through the UK and Maltese flag registers concerning all seafarers employed on large commercial and private yachts.

Legal background and/or previous experience in the yachting industry are a strong advantage.

The successful candidate will effortlessly follow procedures, have attention to detail, ease in reading, understanding and interpreting regulations, ability to interact well with both PYA members and Administrations alike.

On-the-job training will be provided.

Given that a lot of training will be required, this is a full-time position at entry-level, which requires working in person at the office in Antibes (no relocation package is offered), a flexible approach, and an ability to work together with other team members to achieve a varied number of tasks.

Marketing Manager:

The Professional Yachting Association (PYA) is looking for its Marketing Manager.

Lead and manage overall marketing and communication planning, strategy and initiatives. The role will focus on building PYA brand awareness and stakeholder engagement. It will drive membership increase and revenue for the association.

About you and the role:

A People person, you are a motivated self-starter, multi-skilled in Marketing & Communication techniques, with a proven track record in "making things happen". Prior knowledge of the yachting industry would be an asset but is not necessary.

As a master Marketer, you have demonstrated exceptional skills in raising funds and selling ideas, products or services. You will manage and grow our range of Partners and develop our network of Agents from around the world.

The role is based in Antibes (France). No relocation package is offered, but remote working could be considered for an exceptional candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver creative marketing and communication strategies, plans and products to help market and position the PYA to attract members, partners and revenue.
  • Plan the marketing and communications strategies for specific areas of PYA’s work and for different audiences.?
  • Produce newsletters?
  • Develop/review PYA’s digital and web strategy.
  • Manage the website, social media and communication channels
  • Organise webinars?and in-person events
  • Seek sponsorship for PYA communication activities, as relevant.
  • Represent the PYA at relevant external meetings and conferences, whether in-person or online.

You will report directly to the CEO of the small international head office of the PYA. The role will be offered initially on a part-time basis.
