Charlie Binyon

Charlie Binyon started dinghy racing as a child and began working on yachts in 1976 as deckhand, soon after switching to engineer. He began as 2nd engineer on Sarina (now Haida G) moving onto to chief on Solitaire. In 1985, he took his first captain’s position on Caramba and has been driving a variety of yachts, power and sail, ever since. He has been a PYA member since 1997, and on council since 2003.

His interests are varied and include singing and vintage cars.
